Yes, I still have off days (you should’ve seen me last week – not sure if it was just mild anxiety or if this damn menopause if taking over). But at the end of the day what you need to focus on is the overall progress and change that you’re seeing. It’s about recognizing the improvements you see in yourself.

See, life isn’t about being perfect and following everything to the tee all the time. It’s about making an effort, every day. It’s about the little shifts in your efforts, your mindset, your thoughts, your emotions. It’s about making a choice to focus on you instead of going back to the mindless activities that aren’t contributing to your life and your personal development.

Don’t get me wrong, you still need those mindless moments where you tune out the world (trust me, I needed it last week). But it’s all about balance and making  a small change here and there that will have a big impact long-term.

I’m sure you’ve noticed by now, I’m very passionate about personal development and I believe that it doesn’t have to be complicated.

It really does start small. It starts with you making a choice, right now, to start making a small change here and there in your day-to-day life.

That is where I start with every one of my life coach clients. We begin in the here and now. What small changes can they make to their lives to make it just a bit better every day.

Here are some things you can do TODAY, to make a shift in your life:
  • Listen to an inspiring audio book or ted talks while you’re doing chores, or driving in your car.
  • Do something to take care of your body – go for a walk, drink enough water, make healthy food choices
  • Make a list of simple changes you’d like to make in your life. Things such as de-cluttering your home, learning about personal development, or implementing an effective morning routine. And then choose the top change you’re going to commit to next week!
It starts simple.

And when you stick to ONE change and you start noticing a positive difference, it will motivate you to want to do more .. and more.. until you wake up one day to realize how far you’ve come.

Life is a journey filled with lessons, hardships, heartaches, joys, celebrations and special moments that will ultimately lead us to our destination, our purpose in life. The road will not always be smooth; in fact, throughout our travels, we will encounter many challenges.

Some of these challenges will test our courage, strengths, weaknesses, and faith. Along the way, we may stumble upon obstacles that will come between the paths that we are destined to take.

In order to follow the right path, we must overcome these obstacles. Sometimes these obstacles are really blessings in disguise, only we don’t realize that at the time.

Along our journey we will be confronted with many situations, some will be filled with joy, and some will be filled with heartache. How we react to what we are faced with determines what kind of outcome the rest of our journey through life will be like.

When things don’t always go our way, we have two choices in dealing with the situations. We can focus on the fact that things didn’t go how we had hoped they would and let life pass us by, or two, we can make the best out of the situation and know that these are only temporary setbacks and find the lessons that are to be learned.

It is all about the journey.

I’ve received emails from a few of my followers this month that made me so excited!

The whole reason that I started Myjinxedlife is to share my insights and tips that I have gained through life coaching and personal training. What I have learned on my own journey from young single mom to kick ass coach!  I also wanted to share with you my life journey and what I’ve learned along the way because I genuinely want you to have that kind of transformation in your life.

And it seems as though my little corner of the internet is reaching some you and actually helping you…! Do you know how HAPPY that makes me?! It makes me feel like all my work and effort and the love I pour into the blog is making a difference and that makes me feel grateful that I’m doing it.
